The OBC Employees Welfare Association (India Post) started its new branch at Salem East Division in a meeting conducted in the afternoon of 23.08.2015.
Sri K Jothikumaran (TN Circle President) presided over the function. Sri D Panneersamy (All India President), Sri D S Harikrishnan (Circle Secretary) and other circle office bearers Sri K Gajendran, Sri S Sunderarajan, Sri M Ramesh, Sri J Purushothaman, Sri N Ramakrishnan, other divisiional and branch office bearers, members participated and delivered their speech.
Everyone emphasised the need for an association exclusively to cater the needs of OBC employees working in Department of Posts.
Then the following were unanimously elected as office bearers.
President: Sri B S Rajamurugan, Postman, Atur HPO
Vice President: Sri Praveen Kumar, Postal Assistant, Atur HPO
Secretary: Sri S Abdul Rahman, Mail Overseer, Atur HPO
Assistant Secretary: Sri K Dillibabu, GDS MD, Kattukottai BO
Finance Secretary: Sri P Jayaraman, MTS Atur HPO.
