Dharna by OBC Confederation at Valluvarkottam, Chennai

A Dharna programme conducted by the OBC Confederation near Valluvakottam, Chennai was conducted on 13.02.2016 from 10.00 hours.  Sri Kolathur Mani, Dr. E Muraleedharan, Sri Viduthalai Rajendran, Sri IAS Academy Shankar, Sri Vaiyapuri were the prominent personalities present.  They delivered valuable speech in front of the mass gathered.

More than 300 persons gathered from the following departments.

Atomic Energy, LIC, Income Tax, Syndicate Bank, BSNL, Customs, CSIR, ONGC, RBI, Postal, Port Trust, GIC, Engine Factory, ISRO, JIPMER, AAI, Shastri Bhavan, CLTRI, OCF, CLRI, etc...

The speakers insisted on the need for fulfilling shortfall vacancies earmarked for OBC by conducting special recruitment derive.  They also insisted for empowerment of NCBC and to formulate a separate Act for Reservation.

From the Postal OBC Sri D S Harikrishnan, Tamilnadu Circle Secretary delivered his speech.

Nearly 50 activists from Postal OBC participated in the programme.

The OBC Confederation announced a dharna programme from 10.00 to 14.00 hours on 13.02.2016 to ensure 27% reservation in education and employment as recommended by Mandal Commission.near Valluvar Kottam, Chennai.  All the activists of OBC EWA (India Post) are requested to participate in the programme and make it a grant success.

This is our issue and only we have to struggle keeping in view of our generations., Let us get united and show our solidarity.

Five new members from Chennai City South Division joins Team OBC

Five new members from Chennai City South Division joins Team OBC and takes its strength to 837.  Our sincere thanks for the efforts taken by Sri Mohammed Fayaz, Postman, Sholinganallur. Still more divisions and branches are yet to be formed.  Therefore it is requested that those belonging to OBC community working in Department of Posts to join OBC Employees Welfare Association and add strength for effective and united functioning.
