First Divisional Conference of Atur Branch on 08.12.2016

The first divisional conference of OBC Welfare Association (India Post) was held on 18.12.2016 at Atur. Sri P Selvaraj, President Atur Branch presided ovedr the meeting. Sri D S Harikrishnan (General Secretary), Sri J Purushothaman (JKoint Secretary, Tamilnadu Circle), Sri S Sundararajan (Treasurer, Tamilanu Circle) participated in the meeting. Sri Dillibabu, Sri G Ilango, Sri Mathaian, Smt Jeeva Latha, Sri J Kalaivanan delivered their valuable speech.

Sri S Abdul Rahman, Secretary Atur Branch retired from service on superannuation on 3010.2016 was honoured during the occassion.

Sri S K Kharvendan completes his second tenure as Member of NCBC

Sri S K Kharvendan successfully completes his second tenure as Honorable Member of National Commission for Backward Classes after serving for 6 years.  The Postal OBC salutes his dedication and committed service to OBC community.

We also thank all the  help extended by him to the Postal OBC.

Thank you Sir.  We are expecting extension of one more tenure.

Grievance meeting with the OBC Stalwarts

The Confederation of OBC Employees Welfare Associations organised a meeting on 26.09.2016 at Income Tax auditorium in which the OBC Parliamentary Committee Chairman Honourable Shri Ganesh Singh and the National Commission for Backward Classes Member Honourable Sri SK Kharvendhan were participated and delivered their valuable speech.

The member OBC associations submitted their memorandum to the Honourable Ganesh Singh and during his speech he replied that he will take all possible necessary action to settle the grievances faced by the OBC employees working in various departments.

From Postal OBC representatives from Chennai GPO, Chennai MMS, Salem East Division, Chennai City Central Division were present in the meeting.

SALEM EAST DIVISION TOP THE LIST IN MEMBERSHIP

After some time the members status is updated and the delay is due rearrangement of the office functioning.  The inconvenience caused is highly regretted.

            Fourteen new members, eight from Atur Branch under Salem East Division and six from Mail Motor Service, Chennai joins Team OBC.  This takes the tally to 969.  Still some more applications are need to be posted. 

            The Salem East Division (including Atur Branch) leads the membership status now pushing back Cuddalore Division.  The Circle OBC congratulates all the sincere efforts taken by Sri P Jothimani (Secretary, Salem East Division) and Sri S Abdul Rahman (Secretary, Atur) and their team in achieving this position.
